Generadores europeos S.A. (GENESAL, Gensets) began its activity in October 1994, as the result of an initiative of several entrepreneurs who joined efforts to turn GENESAL today into a continuously growing, solvent and innovative organization.
GENESAL Gensets is a manufacturer of power generator sets and its business has two other main strands of activity: maintenance and engineering, which provide our company great flexibility and an ability to adapt to the customers’ needs, manufacturing original equipment on request, according to the customers’ specifications.
Our firm commitment to R&D&I has consolidated our company’s leading position on the market of tailor-made and special power generator sets, developing an in-house* technology aimed at providing our customers gensets whose characteristics are unique on the national and international market.
In 2011, the TECHNOLOGICAL CENTRE GENESAL was created to carry out tests on specific and unique products on the market, which allowed our company to be a pacesetter of the new technologies in the field of genset manufacturing.
*The application for the patent was submitted on November 5th, 2012.
International presence
GENESAL, Gensets operates in over 30 countries. The main destination for our exports are in Europe and Latin America, but our products entered markets in Morocco, Namibia, Gabon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or Sultanate of Oman. 64% of 2012 turnover came from exports of gensets.
Our personnel speak several languages, which, on the one hand, enhances customer service and communication and, on the other, contributes to strengthening our company’s position on the market and opening up markets. The languages we use are: English, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Portuguese and Russian.
A continuously growing company
Despite the recent economic circumstances, GENESAL, Gensets has managed to double its sales from 2008, and in 2012 they were increased by 36% compared to the previous year. This growth is in line with the export volume.
Flexible manufacturing model
The obtained results were possible due to a tradition as exporter and an implemented flexible manufacturing model that allows manufacturing to adapt to demand and be able to customize the products, which is an important competitive advantage.
