Company history Genesal Gensets
1994
Creation of the labour limited company (Sociedad Anónima Laboral – S.A.L.) as the result of an initiative of several entrepreneurs who joined efforts to establish Genesal, Gensets, which nowadays is a continuously growing, solvent and innovative organization.
1995-1997
First period of growth. In 1996 it started exporting to Portugal.
1998-2002
Second period of growth. In 1999 exports extended to Panama, Colombia and Cuba.
2002-2004
Third period of growth, with exports to Kazakhstan, Yemen and Angola.
2005-2007
Fourth period of growth, by entering the Venezuelan market. The peak of manufacturing capacity was reached.
2008
Change of the factory location. Opening of the new facilities in Polígono de Bergondo (A Coruña).
2009
Consolidation of its position as a market leader in Latin America. New focus towards the military sector. Certification: ISO 9001:2008.
2010
Opening up of new markets: Morocco, Costa Rica and Peru. New corporate image.
2011
The opening up of new markets is continued: Russia and Nordic Countries. ISO:14001:2004 and GOST-TR certifications. Creation of the TECHNOLOGICAL CENTRE GENESAL.
2012
Middle East. Consolidation of military projects.
2013
Change of the legal form to limited company (Sociedad Anónima – S.A.) Expansion of facilities at Bergondo.
